Carrying forward the dedication of the Orange County Korean War Memorial (ockoreanwar.org) in California, we are creating Korea’s first integrated monument honoring all 63 allied nations and Puerto Rico’s unsung heroes.
In Fullerton, California, the Orange County Korean War Veterans Memorial stands tall with five star-shaped granite pillars engraved with the names of all 36,591 fallen US soldiers. It is a world-renowned landmark of remembrance.
However, in the Republic of Korea, a permanent integrated monument honoring all 63 allied countries—16 combat nations, 5 medical support nations, 32 material aid nations, 7 reconstruction nations—and the unsung Borinqueneers of Puerto Rico does not yet exist. We have come together to rectify this reality.
